Become a Volunteer

Want to make a profound difference in your community?

Credit unions give you the opportunity as few organizations can. As a member, you can not only vote on matters important to the credit union, but even shape those matters from the very beginning—as a volunteer.

Volunteer opportunities start at the top.

The board of directors, which charts a course for the credit union’s growth and service, consists entirely of volunteers like you. You don’t need to be a CPA—just a willingness to learn and a commitment to serve. Volunteers also staff the supervisory committee, which audits the credit union’s books and ensures compliance.

Bottom line: by donating your time and energy, you can make an important impact on your credit union. You become one of those “people helping people” who make our credit unions—and our communities—work.

How do you start?

If you’re a member, simply call your credit union and ask about volunteer openings. If you’re not a member, first locate a credit union for which you’re eligible; then join and ask how you can help.
